WHAT IS DAGA

A Skirmish Game

Daga is a skirmish game, where players control a small group of characters represented on the battlefield with miniatures. After assembling a warband, players face off in matches lasting about an hour and a half, simulating small battles on fields rich with scenic elements - small buildings, trees, and other miniature landscapes, creating a scaled-down stage.

Our Intent

Daga is designed to inspire creativity in the freest way possible, prioritizing fun and imagination over strict realism. It is a symmetrical game, meaning all players have equal opportunities to build a warband using the same resources. 

The personality of the warband, its story, and the resulting gameplay are entirely shaped by the player’s choices. The setting is collaboratively created by the group of players, who define the boundaries of the world where their battles unfold. The game’s glossary is intentionally flexible: a bow in a fantasy setting can easily become a gun in a futuristic world, and a single rule might represent an electric shock from a powerful cyborg or a spell cast by a wizard. 

This adaptability is a core feature of Daga, as the joy of the game lies in the creative interpretation of its rules bending and shaping them to fit the stories players envision and the miniatures they’ve always dreamed of bringing to life on the battlefield.

This version is not the full Daga rulebook, which is currently available in print only in Italian.

This is a Quickstart edition, a condensed version that allows players to explore the core mechanics and get a sense of the game.
